I was a kid when I started to save money in my pig piggy bank for my first computer with Internet access. Unfortunately, when I broke it there were no enough money and took me quite a long time see with my own eyes that chatting to people from different parts of the world in real time was actually happening!
Next, the question “How does it work?” came to my mind and at that time is where everything started! The exciting IP world, networking, routers, switches, spanning tree, subnetting, downtime calls, routing loops… came to my life.
The years passed …
When I started University in 2003 I remember looking for another girl in the class and once I found her I relaxed and enjoyed my first class about the OSI Model. I am so happy that I made the decision to stay. I really enjoyed my University life, classes, labs, labs that mysteriously disappeared 30 min before the submission time… Studying has been a good friend during my whole life.
In 2007, I got my first job as a Network Engineer. That was my first real contact with the Networking world out there. I was lucky to work in a small team; I was able to discover and implement different solutions and technologies. By that time, I also joined some studying groups and held some training sessions about Networking. I took advantage of a good knowledge exchange and very interesting discussions.
Time for a change!
In 2011, I decided to move to the UK. I always wanted to live abroad, it is good to learn a new language, meet people and open your mind. It didn’t take me too long to also learn that there are only two seasons in Scotland, June and winter… Anyway, that’s how Edinburgh became my home, my 6 month experience turned into a 6 years of an exponential professional goals and personal challenges. I completed my MSC in Glasgow Caledonian University, four Cisco Certifications from the CCNA to the CCIE level and improved my professional background working as Senior Network Engineer and Network and Security Architect.
This is a summary about my story so far, now it is time to write a new page that has always been in my mind: run my own business. During all these years I have been getting instant gratification of praise from others for my support and their requirements have made of me a professional in my field. I am confident that I can support your existing environment or advice you in building a new one in an efficient and professional manner.
I do the work I do because I love it. I like the industry. I like the people I meet. Hopefully we cross paths someday and we can make the world a better place together.
The future awaits, with new networks, new challenges and no limits!
